- Beckman Allegra 6R Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge is designed for cell culture, plasma, and other biological or general separation processing of temperature-sensitive samples. This tabletop centrifuge can process up to 56 x 15 mL conical tubes and 12 microplates, as well as other vessels. Users can swap out rotors and accessories to best suit their needs. The well-known GH-3.8 swinging bucket rotor permits you to run tests from 1.5 mL to 750 mL tubes, microplates, bottles, and fluid bags.
- Users can set their desired run parameters from the upfront control panel. Values are displayed on the digital screen, and individual knobs are used to dial in settings. The timer function can be set up to 30 minutes or to hold for a continuous run. The breaking profile will engage once the timer has elapsed, and the run will complete. The toggle switches let users select a high or low breaking speed or set to none for a coast-to-stop option.
- The lid can be locked after loading simply by flipping the lever under the front. The controls include a second lid setting a toggle switch that releases the latch mechanism and opens the door after the rotor has come to a complete stop, and the manual lock is opened.
- It has a total spin speed setting of 8000 rpm dialed in 200 RPM increments, however, speed will depend on the rotor being used. Temperatures can be set with the knob on the side and are shown on the dial display with the current temperature readout. The range is between -10 to 40°C, making it an ideal simple-to-use refrigerated benchtop centrifuge for your lab or research needs.
