- The Misonix Prep Station, Model FE-PCR is a compact laminar flow enclosure that reduces the risk of sample contamination while performing polymerase chain reaction experiments.
- Airborne contaminants are prevented from entering the work zone through constant positive pressure HEPA filtered air. The FE-PCR Prep station is equipped with a built-in 254 nanometer shortwave lamp to effectively decontaminate the work area between amplifications. The FE-PCR Prep Station is fitted with a safety interlock to prevent operator exposure to potentially harmful UV radiation. The UV light has a user definable timer of 0-60 minutes per activation cycle. The FE-PCR Prep station is a bench-top personal clean zone allowing the operator to amplify RNA and DNA while minimizing the potential for background from cross contamination.
