- CytoViva Imaging System:
- Illumination geometry: Employs patented Enhanced Darkfield Condenser technology that alters the light-entry angle
- Target capacity: Directs a highly focused oblique light beam directly at the sample matrix, bypassing the objective lens. This forces the system to collect only scattered light, letting you visualize non-luminescent nanomaterials down to 10–20 nm in size
- Fluorescence Light Source: A 120W pre-aligned Mercury vapor short-arc lamp coupled via a liquid light guide. It provides rich, broad-spectrum epi-fluorescence excitation spanning ultraviolet to visible ranges (320–750 nm) for co-localization protocol
- Hyperspectral Grating Spectrograph: wavelength detection range: 400 to 1,000 nm (Visible to Near-Infrared / VNIR spectrum)
- Optical dispersion: 97.5nm/mm spread across the target axis
- Spectral resolution: down to 2.8nm
- Spatial resolution control: employs advanced internal telecentric prisms ensuring minimal aberrations to preserve imaging geometry
- Aperture threshold: fast F/2.4 numerical rating to optimize low light line scanning throughput
- pco.panada 4.2 sCMOS camera: resolution 2048 x 2048 (4.2 megapixel array)
- Pixel architecture: 6.5um x 6.5um pixel sizes, optimizing spatial resolution matching along the spectrograph slit
- Quantum efficiency: peak QE of 80% @ 600nm to capture faint darkfield light scatter
- Read noise and dynamics: ultra-low typical read noise of 2.1e- with a high 16 bit dynamic range
- Speed capacity: captures up to 40 fps at full 4.2MP resolution
